The Couple

He snakes his arm around her waist and pulls her into his arms…hugging her firmly…gently…pressing his lips against hers….

“No way!” shouted Jamie. “Tell them to get a room.”

“Why are you so frustrated?” Ken asked.

“W-well, that’s because they are making out in my dad’s farm.”

“They aren’t.”

“They are, you’ve just told me.”

Jamie snatched the binoculars from Ken’s hand and placed it against her eyes. She turned to the left, then right, then back to the left again.

“Where are they?” she asked.

“The couple. I don’t see any couple out there. All I see is a cow staring straight at me.”

Ken burst out laughing.

Jamie hit him on his chest. “You tricked me. You-”

He grabbed her wrist, pulled her closed, and silenced her with his lips.

At the airport

I’ve been searching for the whole day. Where exactly are you?

The annoying clock is constantly ticking, reminding me that time is running out. But I can’t leave without you.

Yet, I’m tired and famished. Oh yes, now I remember, Chloe gave me a snack bar which I’d put in my pocket. Let me take a short break before continuing my search.

What’s this? My ring?! So you were in my pocket all along, yet I’d searched the entire airport for you. Silly me!

Sammie placed her ring on her third finger, said the magic words, and vanished into thin air.

At the fairyland, Sammie landed on Chloe’s rooftop with a loud thud.

“What are you doing up there?”

“Hi Chloe, I guess I need more practice. This is after all only my second arrival at the fairyland.”

“Why are you so late?”

“I lost my fairy ring…but I’d found it.”

“Let’s go, my wedding can’t start without my bridesmaid.”

“Wait…how do I get down?”

“Use your wings!”

“Oh…yes, I’ve forgotten I’ve wings.”

Once, I was one of them. Riding my bike with my buddies, roaming around the town, searching for ghosts. We, the ghost busters, vowed to protect the people from the evil spirits that sucked the souls of the living.

One day, we received a tip-off on the whereabouts of the Master. We devised a foolproof plan to get rid of him.

Before we set off, my wife pleaded with me to abort the plan.

“He’s more powerful than those you’d slain. Don’t risk your life. Our unborn child needs a father,” she cried.

“I’ll be back. I promise.”

I turned and left with my buddies. That was the last I saw of her.

We failed our mission to slay the Master spirit.

As a result, we were turned into soul-sucking spirits. The Master threatened to harm our family members if we didn’t bring him the souls of the living.

We had no choice but to oblige.

“Time’s up! All pens down,” the teacher shouted.

Phew! Finally managed to complete my composition on time.
