Greetings from Fun Simplicity!

The purpose of this blog is to keep a record of the happy moments (Blessings) of my life (and some frustrations too, maybe ^_-).

I wasn’t into writing in the beginning, till I signed up for the courses offered by the Blogging University. These courses have unleashed my passion for writing, especially Writing 101. It challenged me to think creatively everyday throughout the course. I began to write short story, which I had never attempted before. The constant encouragement and motivation received from fellow bloggers make me want to write even more. I feel really blessed to have met so many great and wonderful bloggers in this blogosphere.

Life is short, why dwell on the woes? Count your blessings and live life to the fullest!

Fun can be really simple and small (such as sharing an ice lolly ^_^). Hence, the pen-name, Fun Simplicity! You can call me, Funsie (a lovely name given by my dear friend, Priceless Joy)!

I decided to participate in the NaNoWriMo in November 2015. Although I don’t have the slightest idea of what to write but will give it a try, especially with so much encouragement from my blogger friends. 50,000 words?! Me freaking out! Nevermind, nothing ventured, nothing gained! I’ll go all out! Fighting!

Updated 20 November 2015

I’m a winner! I’ve met the target of 50,000 words! Yippy!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 I think I’ll cast aside the 50k target and just focus on getting my thought into words. Even if I didn’t meet the target, I still have my “little story”. 🙂

      1. Yes, that’s a good way to approach it, I think! It’s the writing that’s important. The year I signed up for Nanowrimo, I decided that while I wouldn’t participate online there, I WOULD write my story, and I think I had about 30,000 words. Been meaning to go back to it. Planning to do continue my story in November (after three years since I signed up to do it!). 🙂

      2. 30,000 is a great achievement! 👏👏👏
Sometimes focusing too much on word count may destroy the storyline, isn’t it! 😊 write first, count later. ☺️
All the best in your continuation! 😉

  3. Hi FS or are we now to call you SM? LOL. I just wanted to drop in and thank you for checking out our brand new community blog Letters to the Mind where creatives and family members living with the impact of mental illness can write to their illness and post in an attempt to further our own personal growth as well as teach the world around us. Education is the key to ending stigma!

If you know of anyone who might be interested in contributing a piece, please encourage them to write to their illness and contribute their piece at Letters to the Mind blog project.

BTW, writing 101 had the total opposite affect on me. I loved writing but that class was boring and through me into a slump! LOL. Crazy, I know! HA! Enjoy your new found passion. I love story writing too. Best of luck,

    1. Thank you, Memee 🙂 My pen name is still Fun or FS. Only my blog’s name has changed, so… am definitely not “SM”…( cheeky grin) 😀 Have a great weekend!

      1. Hmm…just feel like it! LOL! 😀 Well, I did a lot of stuff yesterday but everything I did goes against me…just not my day, you know? But I refused to give in and I insisted in making myself smile, so I started to play with design and this change just pop into my mind. 😀 Now I’m happy 😀

    1. Thanks for the visit and follow, Claremary. 🙂 I was surprised that I could finish NaNoWriMo 😀 I was merely trying out last Nov. I guess the characters in my story refused to end it till I was done with them. 😀 It was totally different from my initial planning, but I like it. 🙂 Thank you! 😀

      1. Funs, The murder mystery I’m working on will probably end up being around 36,000 words and according to those in the know, it should be over 40,000. Word count and it’s value in writing is a bit of a mystery in itself. It’s taken me months to get to 30,000 words, so you have me in awe! Clare

    1. I miss you too, my dear Rosema. Do you have kik? It’s a communication app that uses email. If you have, then we can chat whenever you want! 😄 Not much progress in reading as I was really busy running errands for last few days 😅

    1. Hi! Hi! Sorry for the late reply. Hope everything is well with you! Thank you my dear, for missing me. 😘 I have no inspiration to write as my mind is full of their exams 😅 Exam will end by 9 May. Hopefully I’ll feel more relax and find my inspiration by then! 😉 Till then, take care!

      2. YEAH! And that area is actually one of the major sources of rice here in the Philippines. Now there’s a threat of rice shortage.. and families from that area are getting hungry because they have no source of money.. *sigh*
