A Christmas spell

It was Christmas morning and all through the house was peace and quiet. Cheryl was hiding in her room searching for spells that could break her current one, where she turned herself into a cat accidentally. I need to find the right spell before mom chases me out again. Wizard Harry is out of town. I can only rely on this ‘Spells for Dummies‘ book.

Cheryl flipped through the pages of her spell book with her paws, frantically.

“Cheryl! Are you home?”

I’ve to hurry. Mom’s coming! Spell! Where are you?

Suddenly, Cheryl’s mom heard some cling clang bing bang sound coming from Cheryl’s room. She decided to check it out.

“What’s this mess?! Cheryl? Are you here?”

“I’m here… mom!”

“Under this pile… of mess!”

“What are you doing under this mess?”

“Errm… I was clearing my room… for Christmas… as you’ve instructed!” Phew! What a close shave. Lesson learnt: never practice spells at home.

This week we are asked to write a 150-word flash fiction beginning with:

“It was Christmas morning and all through the house…..”

This ends the story to Cheryl’s witchcraft learning journey.

😄 It wasn’t intentional to be a continuation to the previous stories. It just so happened!😊

If you are interested, you can find them here: The Beginning and The Problem.

Merry Christmas! 🎄
