My Beloved

when it’s cold and dark

I longed for his love and hugs

a physical touch I yearn for daily

a person I will miss for eternity…

  1. A short, simple, yet poignant poem. If you’re writing about a beloved who has passed on, my deepest sympathy. If it’s based on the story you referred to above, and is fictional, you still did a beautiful job of concisely summing up the sadness one feels at the loss of a beloved.

  2. This conjures image of a love passed on from this world…each line written from an aching regret that his touch will be felt no more… it may be fictional but the author understands this sentiment as it is intended…beautiful
