Luo Han Guo Herbal Tea

Recently, the weather in Singapore is bad… one minute downpour, next scorching hot. On top of that, the haze refuses to dispel. Hence, many people have fallen sick: my parents, my brother and his family, and many more relatives. What’s more, when exam is just round the corner! The added stress weakens the immunity further.

Today, I made Luo Han Guo herbal tea for the whole family. Also known as Monk’s Fruit, Luo Han Guo is great in balancing the heat build-up caused by internal conditions or external heat. It nourishes the lung, and is often used for treatment of lung congestion, cough, other respiratory ailments, and sore throat.

Bottled Luo Han Guo tea is readily available at Chinese Medicinal Hall island wide. However, ever since the incident where dead cockroaches are found in the tea (by someone unknown), we prefer to cook it ourselves. Well, the herbal tea is black in colour, so it’s hard to tell if any pest or insect decided to take a swim in it.

It’s naturally sweet, yet my children didn’t like the taste. Like it or not, if it’s good for them, they have to drink it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Stay strong, stay healthy, and be well! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ˜‰
