“Not another dance!”

H1: “Here he comes again!”

H2: “We are not going to perform that dance again, are we?”

H3: “Hey, you tell him that our hooves are aching and numb.”

H1: “Is it aching or is it numb?”

H3: ” Just say any.”

H1: “Ok…Any.”

H2: “Any what?”

H1: “H3 told me to say Any.”

H3: “Forget it! Just tell him we are not dancing today. Period.”

H1: “But… does he understand what I’m talking about?”

H3: “I give up! When I count to 3, we all kneel down together. Don’t get up till I tell you to, understand?”

All nodded.

H3: “Ready? 1…2…3 Down!”

“What’s wrong with the horses today? Is this a new dance step? Great job, my dearest horsey! Since you are so excited, let’s go out for a dance!” he grinned.

  1. LOL! I believe the horses are just about ready to go on strike! I sure can’t blame them. It certainly can’t be easy to be asked to dance all the time when your hooves are aching and numb. Great story!! Thank you so much for participating in the Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers Challenge!
